Empowering the 21st Century Miethal - lets enable and encourage priceless human contribution
D1489   : Other    Status: Evaluated

Meitheal ; an Irish gathering in times of harvest or difficulty, where people helped one another. The young and strong could help the elderly and weak.
…..personal connection, a sense of value and contribution…humanity at its finest.

It’s a busy modern 21st century. Were so busy running to stand still.
Time for ourselves is scarce. Time for our children is tight. Time flys by.

Its 2010 and there seems to be no time or space for connection and contribution. Our sense of value is gone, there is no harvest, no Meithal, no personal connection. Our sense of worth is dulled.

Lets enable ourselves to contribute more to one another and furthermore lets encourage the contributers of the world to relocate and base their activities here.

There are more billionaires in the world than ever before. They cannot spend it. Their desire is to leave a legacy.

Bill Gates has his foundation, Warren Buffett the worlds most successful businessman has his charitable foundation. He owns many companies. Walmart Asda…etc

Chuck Feeney made his billion on Duty free shops. He spent it mostly in Ireland, on our universities and he pumped cash into the peace process. He is now spending it on the desparately needy in Vietnam.

Lets give the Chuck Feeneys of this world a tax break.
Lets encourage the giving billionaires to locate their activities and profit making here. Lets work our hearts out for them.

The knock on effects of this idea as outlined in my attachment may transform our world.

The Meithal can bring us together again …. The young intelligent and strong of Ireland may once again work to help the elderly, the weak, and the desperately needy.
