The problems faced by Ireland are huge, but I believe that the key to recovery is a combined effort from governments and financial institutions in conjunction with the business community in Ireland and other EU member states. The aim is to get as many people as possible back to work, which generates income, creates cash flow and confidence, which in turn is the grease for the overall economy. This proposal entails facilitating people from other EU member states to come to Ireland to work, with an Irish person going to their equivalent county to work for a fixed period of time (one year). The scheme would specifically target unemployed Irish people whose work is oversupplied in Ireland but in demand in other countries. Similarly, it would attract foreign workers who are unable to secure work in their own country but whose skills are required in Ireland.
Ireland would invite other countries to participate in the scheme. Each country would invest in industry and development in Ireland, More...

SHARE IN OUR NATIONAL RECOVERY through your local credit union.Credit union comittees all over the country decide what is best for their own local area.Creation of a National Recovery Movement allowing local people and their diaspora to buy SHARES to invest in local projects. These shares will accrue appropriate interest or a tax offset over a number of years. The share funds should be used for local employment projects/return to work schemes/in service training.Shares could also be invested in local infrastructural development and promotion of new technologies using locally suitable qualified people. Also provide short;term funding for local small andmedium enterprises.Who better to know what each local community needs..TO GET THIS COUNTRY GOING than your local voluntary Credit Union committee...

How exactly does one get an economy back on track? Since an economy is a collection of many different things, it should be as simple as figuring out what those 'things' are, turn them in the right direction, and perhaps give them a push. My goal with this plan is to make it simple to understand and easy to apply, without trying to be technically perfect, but contain a lot of little ideas that add up to one big result, economic growth and creation of jobs. To do this requires energy, and to get that energy, one needs only to tap into the biggest pool of energy in Ireland: Irish pride.

Inserting knowledge into the ‘knowledge - economy'.
Planning the future, understanding the past, grasping the present.
Knowledge, knowledge-driven, knowledge-based, the smart-economy ... Céard é?
Geilleager cliste nó oilte? Cad is brí leis?
If Ireland's Call is for a 'knowledge-economy', this proposal is the answer.
Is leatsa é.

My proposal is to sort and publish all these ideas in a suppliment in the national press - while I'm aware there could be close to 9000 ideas, having them all in a suppliment would allow people to read all the ideas and perhaps could develop their own ideas. I find it very difficult to read all the ideas on this website, but the ones I have read are giving me further ideas.
The supliments could be published during a national entrepreneural week!

The main purpose of Tech Transfer Units is to be the Intermediary Organization between Universities / Scientific and Technological Centers (STC’s) and the SMEs. These units will be spread across the country "bridging the existing Gap" between these entities. How?
- With Good Comercial Teams and with Teams specialized in all the existing categories
- Scan the existing Technologies in Universities and Tech Companies
- Evaluate the State of the Art of Technologies
- Help these entities to license their mature technologies
- If good solutions are in their prototype phase, then involve them (w/ partners) in projects that can bring public investment
- Auditing SMEs to understand their Technological Needs
- Evaluate the economical impact of a new Technological solution, if implemented
- Find the Technological Solution to eliminate SMe's Needs
- Involve these SMEs in public investment too
The existence of these Uits will be another piece of "companies' engine" and will lower Universities fin More...

My proposal is that every tourist arriving in Ireland at their point of entry would receive a welcome pack containing the following;
Map of Ireland
List of useful email addresses and telephone numbers
4 prepaid postcards to anywhere in the world
Vouchers
Inserts from relevant private advertisers
This pack will be self funded by revenue generated from advertisers, would create employment and promote a positive image of Ireland. Ultimately increase tourism.

Enterprise Support Framework is essentially a structure that will aid entrepreneurial spirit, business startups and all businesses who participate within it. This customizable framework defines how business can be nurtured and supported within the community and business environments.
This framework is based on the called keiretsu system in Japan and has been utilized in a number of successful countries throughout the world. It supports individuals, families and businesses in all business related matters including financial, technical and management advice. This government led community support group will foster an entrepreneurial spirit within each parish in the country.
This framework will be based on the shared experiences and the enthusiasm of like minded individuals who wish to achieve their goals.
