The CENTENARY IRELAND TRUST ACT 2010 will rejuvenate IRELAND NATION PROSPERITY TOWARDS 2016.
( The roots of this IDEA is to replicate the success of The Encouragement of External investment Act 1958 founded by Mr Sean Lemass and " The Four Horsemen ", namely Ken Whitaker, Padraic O' hUiginn, Charlie Murray, Louden Ryan. Dr. Michael will have worked with some of them.)
" The Key was change from despondency to confidence - progress rate increased from 1% to 4% " Ken Whitaker

We have some of the finest renewable energy & precipitation sources in the world. We also have some of the mot beautiful scenery in the world.
However most of these resorces remain unharvested & when we eventually do start generating from renewable sources our infrastructure is not good enough to make power export a viable option.
We could feasably export water but at times we can't even cope with our own water needs.
Our beautiful scenery can often be only seen safely by car as we have no footpaths or cycle lanes and the scenery is scared by the proliferation of telephone & electric cables on telegraph poles.
We also have a massive human resourse out of work in the construction industry.
The Utilities Interlink is proposed to provide a realistic and achievable system to link utilities to all our towns and cities while providing cycle lanes & footpaths.
At the moment all our utilities follow there own tracks around the country. However all centres of population are linked More...

This proposal is from my family. Having carried out a thorough SWOT Analysis on Ireland Inc., we believe that there is a massive employment opportunity around what we feel is our single biggest natural resource (an island nation surrounded by Sea with Magnificent Lakes and Rivers) which can deliver thousands of jobs in throughout the island of Ireland. The employment and economic benefits would be delivered in every community throughout the country, and would be transformational in terms of unlocking the true potential of the nation.
There would have to be total buy-in and commitment by Government, Enterprise Agencies, Tourism Bodies (Nationally and locally) that the single biggest opportunity for employment growth is using our natural resources (Our Seas, Our Lakes and Our Rivers) , and joined-up thinking to bring about this transformational and breakthrough idea in terms of job-creation. It would require the creation of a single Government Authority where ALL aspects of our Sea More...

The proposal is to establish a National Recovery and Development Fund in order to generate capital which would help create jobs for small to medium businesses. The capital acquired through the fund will be divided between important sectors in the Irish Economy to encourage employment and help develop Irish self sufficiency in areas such as energy and crop cultivation.

My idea is a simple one. Make the Chinese language a real option for our students in school. To achieve this, my idea consists of bringing Chinese university graduates to Ireland to teach in our classrooms. I believe this is necessary so we can keep pace with the next global power and because to date we do not have a history of providing our students with this educational option. Chinese graduates are necessary to kick start this initiative.

Ireland has a unique opportunity to become the first country in the world to energize its industrial and social frameworks by embracing population ageing as a positive phenomenon, with enormous potential to not only harness the energy of older Irish people, to create new products and markets relating to ageing, but also to provide positive leadership in a world where the majority of older people live in the developing world. While the rest of the world focusses on the negative aspects of ageing, Ireland can steal a march by embracing the positivities and opportunities of maturing societies: according to the EU, the senior citizens market will grow by 81% from 2005 to 2030 while the 18-59 year old market will only increase by 7%!
The key challenge to realizing the Demographic Dividend is to embrace the complexity of ageing, which means that growth and loss occur at all ages: a little known fact is that gains in longevity after 1970 have added $3.2 trillion a year to the US economy. The More...

Your country your call
During the Celtic Tiger years Ireland was among the richest countries in the world. What exactly did that mean? Did you as an individual feel richer? more fulfilled? Happier? It is after all a fundamental objective of the economy to create material wealth. Or, do you think we might have lost the run ourselves, or may even lost a sense of ourselves.
In all the noble searching for ideas to stimulate economic growth and employment there is an even more fundamental point that appears to have been missed. That point is a sense of community, a sense of who we are, and where we have come from, and indeed, where we as a society, want to go. It is about decency, morality, fairness, virtues all to sadly swept aside during the Celtic Tiger years. It is about how we as individuals can play a part in achieving our aspirations and dreams. Ultimately, it is about providing hope.
Without engendering such ideals into our society we would have learned nothing from the excesse More...
