In a competitive world-market, the online resource will showcase and market Irish eco friendly products to consumers, retailers and the media at a global level, delivering growth and exposure for Irish business, significantly increasing exports and boosting Ireland’s reputation for eco-friendly products.

This suggestion proposes establishing Ireland, and specifically the Shannon/Limerick region, as a global co-ordination centre for emergency/disaster recovery management. It is based upon leveraging under-utilised physical resources at Shannon airport, in the Shannon Free zone and in the Cork and Foynes deep water ports to accommodate a global emergency relief co-ordination centre. It aims to cure the current despondency and economic hardship by modifying some of the attitudes and actions that have caused Ireland to fare so very badly in the current global recession.
