Re-set the country to reflect Ireland as it is today
The administrative structure that we have operating within Ireland today evolved during our Celtic Tiger years. With the basis of what we regarded as our growth now well and truly gone the old ways and old ideas will not get us out of the mess we find ourselves in today.
We have spent enough time apportioning blame. The anger, insecurity and fear we hear in the voice of the people of our country confirm this, it is now time to look at the general structure and administration of our country and re-set it to reflect the Ireland of today.
Make it new - the whole emphases will be on a fresh new administrative system that will reflect the size, population and economy of today.
No looking back - an administration that will represent us NOW!
Every company in Ireland has had to do this over the last two or three years, some companies did it successfully and are still operating - others have not - it seemed easier for them to More...

Your building contractor asks you for a 50% deposit of €20,000.00 up front for the window manufacturer on your new house project. What do you do? What if the builder goes out of business after you give him the money? What if the window manufacturer goes out of business? The window manufacturer doesn’t trust you or the builder and won’t even order materials until he has a 50% deposit as security. The builder doesn’t trust anyone, he’s suspicious of the Employer’s reticence in parting with his money and doesn’t want to pay his sub-contractors until he secures his own payments.
Welcome to the post “Celtic Tiger” world of Irish Construction.

The building of environmentally , friendly homes , that are cheaper to build than conventional homes , take less renewable resources. and look stunning.
This type of building would equire some training of builders but not extensive and as the world is going towards eco friendly , we could be the forerunners for a change rather than excuse the pun "paddy last" . its time we made use of skills and resources availbable in this country and tried to market them to the rest of the world. We have the core skills in building work , we have a huge down turn in the trade and there is many people out there looking for eco freindly cheaper homes without loosing quality .
Couple the homes with the technologies of anaerobic digesters ( there is a lot of organic waste in ireland ) , micro wind turbines and solar voltaic . You will not only be creating jobs in the building trade and providing a huge social need of quality homes. but the homes will also help reduce emmissions which we are going to More...

THIS PROJECT IS ABOUT IRELAND IN THE WORLD, AND THE SEVENTY MILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE WHO ARE IRISH IN ANCESTERY OR HOLD IRISH PASSPORTS.
MUINTIR CHANGES THE WAY WE BRAND IRELAND AND IRISH GOODS AND SERVICES, IT PROMOTES A CULTURAL SHIFT IN UNDERSTANDING THAT BEING IRISH BY BIRTH OR ANCESTRY, WE ARE A MIXTURE OF VARIED SETLTERS, VIKING, FRENCH, , WELSH ENGLISH, SCOTTISH, JEWISH, FLEMISH, IN THE PAST, AND IN RECENT TIMES, A NEW POPULATION HAS BEEN ADDED TO THAT MIX.
OUR INDUSTRIAL AND CRAFT PRODUCTS ARE EQUALLY DIVERSE, AND MUINTIR TWINES THIS DIVERSITY INTO A NEW GLOBAL MARKET AND IRELAND SHOWCASE. IT’S A TWO WAY MARKETPLACE –COMPANIES OWNED OR STAFFED BY THE IRISH ABROAD WOULD HAVE AN EQUAL PLACE WITH INDIGENOUS COMPANIES, LEADING TO NEW LINKS, LEARNING AND PROFITIBILITY.
ONE OF THE MAIN THEMES TO EMERGE FROM THE ATTENDEES AT THE GLOBAL IRISH ECONOMIC FORUM WAS THE IMPORTANCE OF IRISH CULTURE TO THE IMAGE OF THIS COUNTRY ABROAD.…. AS WE STRIVE TO PROMOTE IRISH CULTURE AND More...

I propose a statue/ monument, visitor attraction be built at a prominent location in Ireland to commemorate a famous Irish American. Probably the best example I think of is John F. Kennedy, as his ancestors were Irish.
This monument could be a viewing platform, visitor centre, etc. I think this tourist attraction would be ideal, as Ireland relies heavily on American tourists for trade, and this would link their history to ours, to perhaps develop a better link and increase American tourism to the country.
As Ireland relies heavily on FDI and multinational business from America, it may also add another link to developing a better business relationship with the States, and remind them of their Irish heritage.
If there is going to be a presidential visit, it would be magnificent if something like the above was built for President Obama to unveil, and remind him of the importance of the Irish, and their role in America.

The PPB scheme aims to eliminate the two primary reasons why someone would not start
a business in Ireland. With these obstacles removed the scheme would incentivise the
start of hundreds of new enterprises.
Many people would like to start businesses in Ireland but the two greatest obstacles are
1. resources – time and money and the need to continue to earn a reliable,
predictable wage whilst establishing the business
2. the perceived complexity of setting up a business or registering as a sole trader.
The PPB scheme is designed to address specifically these two issues.

Promoting “New Generation Industry”
Many graduates and professionals have been made redundant from obsolete Irish industries which are in terminal decline. There is a need for those graduates to acquire new skills. Ideally, these new skills should be acquired within “new generation” industries which have future growth potential. A list of such industries is given below.
The objective of this proposal would be to assist unemployed Irish graduates and professionals to secure employment in targeted new generation industries located abroad. While employed in those industries, the graduates/professionals would act as a source of “market intelligence” for IDA with a view to eventually attracting these industries to set up branch operations in Ireland. Alternatively, if it was not possible to obtain employment, the graduates would be sponsored for periods of planned work experience or in-company internships.
These graduates could fulfil the role of catalyst in a renewal proc More...

One of the ways to bring prosperity to a country is to bring foreign wealth into that country for the use of its people. Ireland has done it for years with tourism and expatriates sending money home. The internet is a worldwide marketplace that has the ability to bring foreign wealth into Ireland in exchange for the products, services and knowledge of the Irish People. By forming a community of government, business, entrepreneurs and individuals, we can build a community that promotes, supports and grows wealth for a very wide cross section of the Irish people.

I propose an investment fund that would invest in small and medium enterprises by way of loans and/or part ownership.
Despite the downturn on our economy there are still many people who have cash to invest and are looking for a return on this. There is also a great level of pride among the people of Ireland who want to do their part in restoring the economy and helping their fellow citizens.
With this initiative, ordinary people can invest their money in the fund. The fund will then lend to qualifying enterprises which show a sustainable business plan and create jobs. Each applicant would be reviewed by a credit approval board. The review process would be very tightly controlled to ensure that only high potential SMEs qualify: for example those who were already successful and want to expand but are curtailed by lack of lending from banks, or new enterprises with innovative ideas who can’t get investment through usual channels due to the downturn.
The government can play their p More...
