Electric motorway that uses an electromagnetic field to induce charge or to propel vehicles along. Be it new electric vehicles which may only have limited speed and range will have the benefit of been able to travel motorway at speeds of up to 120 km/ph while topping up their charge to allow them to go further off motorway. Or Existing vehicles that can have a modification made that will allow them to switch from fossil fuel while on the motorway. Renewable and sustainable energy can ensure 0 carbon emissions.
Electric motoring is reported to cost as little as 1p per mile.
This system can be easily installed by incorporating a road cutting saw, Track decoiler, asphalt dispenser and a road surface finisher on a 40 ft rig. Distances of between 10 and 50 KM of road could be laid in a day and as only one lane would require the track minimum disruption would be caused to the public.
The vehicle modification could be produced in mass in Ireland and be fitted by registered garages around t More...

We have some of the finest renewable energy & precipitation sources in the world. We also have some of the mot beautiful scenery in the world.
However most of these resorces remain unharvested & when we eventually do start generating from renewable sources our infrastructure is not good enough to make power export a viable option.
We could feasably export water but at times we can't even cope with our own water needs.
Our beautiful scenery can often be only seen safely by car as we have no footpaths or cycle lanes and the scenery is scared by the proliferation of telephone & electric cables on telegraph poles.
We also have a massive human resourse out of work in the construction industry.
The Utilities Interlink is proposed to provide a realistic and achievable system to link utilities to all our towns and cities while providing cycle lanes & footpaths.
At the moment all our utilities follow there own tracks around the country. However all centres of population are linked More...

It is the proposal to use the German Transrapid maglev system to transform connections between Irish’s major cities, airports and ferry ports. The Transrapid magnetic levitation – maglev – technology has been proven in public service in China since 2004. Transrapid maglev units reach a maximum speed over 500 km/h and accelerate to 300 km/h in less than three minutes by eliminating friction. They literally float above a fixed guideway on an electro-magnetic ‘cushion’ and are guided, propelled and braked by variable frequency electric currents passed through it.
Can you imagine possibility to travel from Galway to Dublin, in less than 30 minutes door-to-door? With: NO car traffic, NO check-in, NO baggage restriction and NO weather addiction. It is the chance to fast travel for everyone: in timetable operation and for reasonable price.
My proposal is about:
- to integrate whole Ireland,
- to let all regions develop more quickly,
- rebalancing Ireland - to let regions be more More...

TITLE: inTouchEurope
In keeping with our vision of a smart economy we propose the launch of a radio communications system that can deliver our culture into the heart of Europe. We are a multi-cultural island in a Europe of free movement and trade with a strong passion for getting our selves heard musically, literally, politically and with a need now more than ever to be heard innovatively. This system would be a digital upgrade of near obsolete transmission systems that have European wide reach. The grafting on of digital techniques can eliminate fading and interference giving a reach across continents. Such a system (Digital Radio Mondiale) www.drm.org provides near FM sound with text.
It uses hand held smart receivers that tune automatically. It can serve those on the move across Europe in their own language. DRM at home can serve our own multicultural population allowing seamless and orderly integration cost effectively.

Basically my proposal would be to utilise the existing canals that travel into the centre of Ireland and convert the pathways along them into continuous bicycle paths.
The idea would be to utilise a tremendous existing natural resource, i.e. Ireland's natural beauty and the tranquil canals that could bring legions of tourists along a safe route through Ireland.
The scheme would involve the purchase of strips of land alongside both the Grand Canal and Royal Canal in that modern, pleasant and safe cycle paths could be constructed.
Many jobs would be created in the construction and maintenance of the cycle paths and in addition the maintenance of bicycles that would be provided in a scheme similar to that of the 'dublin bikes' scheme.
Tourists would be encouraged to cycle, use barges or a combination of both as they travel at leisure through the serene countryside. Boats companies would also be able to employ extra people in order to maintain the extra barges needed. The idea would b More...

Getting from A to B in Ireland. We’ve tried all of us driving our own car at the same time – we’ve seen the results. And what if you don't have a car? So do we build metros, high speed railways, new motorways? Even if we had the money none of these are much use to you if you’re living on a housing estate where the bus drops you off at the entrance and then you have to walk a mile to your house. There is a solution. If we think big. The idea has been around a long time, but now we have the technology.
If you used GoingMyWay, you’d simply tell your GPS enabled iPhone where you want to go, and drivers nearby and going your way are notified instantly of your location (they also have GPS). If they accept your hail, you pay towards the cost of the journey (for a price similar to the bus), and the driver gets most of that, with GoingMyWay picking up a percentage of each transaction. The driver doesn’t have to go out of their way, or arrange a time to meet, they just pick you up e More...

Getting the Best Out Of Our Assets
My idea is use two State owned controlled assets (Baldonnel & Shannon Airports) to provide a guaranteed funding stream to the state in perpetuity while at the same time providing a stimulus to the region between and around each airport that is:
Sustainable
No cost to the taxpayer (in fact can reduce taxation)
Improves the quality of life of a large number of people
Is business friendly
Is ‘Euro’ friendly
Tourism Friendly
Impacts from East to West
In addition, activation of the idea would act as an enabler for the development of an innovative 21st century version of the ‘Shannon Free Zone’

I propose to tie in the bus routes in some cases so that the bus calls at a railway station to pick up passengers for further bus journeys or to leave them off for a further rail journey. This would involve merging the timetables so that the bus left the station after the train arrived or the train left the station after the bus arrived.

My proposal is to develop a means of transporting large cargo items that is quicker and more energy efficient than the use of existing cargo ships.
From a practical standpoint the most obvious solution would be a Hybrid Airship that derives lift from both its shape and gas stores.
This would have the potential to revolutionize international cargo transport. It would be faster and more fuel efficient than ships, while maintaining the ability to carry very large payloads while being also able to access inland areas.
This is a large scale engineering undertaking that if successful could provide thousands of jobs through design, manufacturing and ancillary services.
It is not an easy task but I believe that given adequate resources an Irish team could successful develop this project.
